The pain of being alone is a heavy burden to bear for one so young.
This particular piece is the anthem of perhaps one of the most tragic characters in Sanctuary, the novel Ive been working (rather slowly, I must admit) on with my best friend. Ezhno is a young man forced into the role of the king when his adoptive father falls ill and dies mysteriously. Hes probably one of the better examples of a grief-driven character in the book, albeit a quieter and more reserved look into what grief can do to someone.
I dunno, maybe someday Ill write themes for each of the main characters of Sanctuary (there are six!!!) and make it into an EP or maybe an album. Either way, its a fun way of exploring the characters in a different medium.
I had spent some time developing a template for FL Studio, and this is the first test of that template. Im really happy with it! Its the first time I was able to effortlessly switch between articulations for the strings instead of banging my head on a wall when dealing with Finale.
Dont get me wrong, I still love writing in Finale since sheet music makes the most sense to me, but maybe someday I will be able to more easily visualize rhythms in the piano roll style of FL Studio.

An original piece inspired by Chara from Undertale.
I always thought that their story is much sadder and more complicated than what people seem to interpret it as, and thats not just the story we get from the pacifist run. Something deeper than just bloodlust is in that kids heart.
I have never seen Chara as a truly evil being. If anything, I believe that their story is the most tragic and misguided attempt to save the ones they loved: monsters. This song hopefully communicates that love and loss they must have experienced. Betrayed by Asriel in the end and denied their moment of victory for monsterkind, Chara never asked to become this way in the end. Are they at peace? Who knows?

Even though the largest flower is so well refined
Its large thorns made the garden to decline
To defeat the princes was not an easy wish
But the large rebellion had the leader to assist
Like a flock of angry birds, the rebellion was led
By a lady mercenary, armor dyed in red
Finally the anger that was locked up all these years
Consumed the kingdom, breaking apart all their fears
But they barely had the strength from the large green war
Theyre little rebellion was not much of a chore
Once the army fell the country men filled the home
Her servants ran away, leaving her alone
The princess just looked at the army, not holding a fight
The princess was captured in the night!
You disrespectful man!

Finally the good of countrymen came through
Now they knew exactly what they had to do
Once upon a time, in a place far away
There was kingdom where good never dared to stray

In the village square where everyone was said to be
In the small jail cell was sitting royalty
She grew lonely in the jail for lack of loyalty
Soon the clock began to ring the princesss sad sentence
Everyone stopped their shouting from the pretense
Stopping on the gaze of someone who had loved her still
Finally tears start to spill
What time is it? Oh its tea time
