Could Nintendo FORCE PlayStation to Keep Physical Games?

The Wii became such a phenomenon that Sony responded with PlayStation Move while Microsoft went all-in on Kinect. Microsoft eventually bundled Kinect with the Xbox One while also announcing controversial restrictions around used games and online connectivity—and the backlash helped destroy years of Xbox brand loyalty right as the PS4 generation began.
Markets can force companies to change.
So if Nintendo demonstrates that millions of consumers still value physical games, could Sony really ignore that forever?
Maybe the future of physical gaming won't be decided by what gamers say they want.
It'll be decided by what they actually buy.
