Obviously I don't mean to incite some sort of blood feud between forestry workers and sword news, but as a purely hypothetical thought experiment: What if a logger had to fight a practitioner of historical martial arts (beginner or intermediate)? Would the raw destructive power of the axe overwhelm the longsword or would it be shut down by agility and versatility?
I still see plenty of folks who dismiss the techniques we see in historical manuscripts as fancy BS, while insisting that strength and aggression are all that matters. Well, let's talk about it some more.
