This was an unsolved challenge for a while. Recently, Thadortin (youtube.com/@thadortin6976) figured out a way to clip the moving platform out of the red coins room (youtu.be/E79jvV41R60). I took this a step further and got Mario out of the room using a floating point precise wall overlap, landing back on the elevator in the process, making for the Mario's Platform Adventure glitch. The moving platform acts as an extension of Mario's current room as opposed to belonging specifically to the red coins room. This allows us to load the CotMC painting room, then move out of bounds by jumping off the platform when it's above out of bounds, causing the game to reference a NULL floor for the painting ripple, resulting in a game crash.

A while back @Ivan178 found a way of using platform release displacement to get the stars in Whomps Fortress, which can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeZnATeiWMU and here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfYh5Yqk658 Since then, Ex320kyt performed the same feats, and I took it upon myself to try to do the same. However, I was struggling a bit so I went about seeing if I could improve it. I managed to find a better HOLP that gets Mario much more height simply by going all the way into the corner of oob in CCM, as well as collecting a couple coins from coin rings to more easily get VS1 for cloning the platform.
