A while back @Ivan178 found a way of using platform release displacement to get the stars in Whomp's Fortress, which can be found here youtube.com/watch?v=TeZnATeiWMU and here youtube.com/watch?v=dfYh5Yqk658 Since then, Ex320kyt performed the same feats, and I took it upon myself to try to do the same. However, I was struggling a bit so I went about seeing if I could improve it. I managed to find a better HOLP that gets Mario much more height simply by going all the way into the corner of oob in CCM, as well as collecting a couple coins from coin rings to more easily get VS1 for cloning the platform. This is the result.
