Hi, I'm Shelly, our product manager, and today I am wearing one of our best selling frames, the Costa Del Mar Fathom.
Costa is a great brand for outdoor activities, particularly if you're into water activities such as boating or fishing (framesdirect.com/shop-by-sport). And one big reason that the Costa brand is great for these is that all of the hinges on the Costa products are made of stainless steel. That allows the frame to resist corrosion, so it won't rust. The frames are all hand assembled, so there is a lot of attention to detail.
Each temple on this particular frame has Hydrolite material, and it's also inset into the nose pads, that will heat up as you're sweating and will actually cause the frame to grip better to your head. That's a fantastic thing. If you're in the water, you don't want your glasses to fall off. This Hydrolite material really works wonders for that.
