Venturing through Blisworth Tunnel. Dug by hand with picks and shovels between 1793-1805. At 2.8km long it goes under the hills between Blisworth village and Stoke Bruerne. A major feat of engineering at the time, it enabled the Grand Junction canal to become the main transportation route for heavy goods between London and the Midlands. (Recorded before the Covid 19 mess)
