In the 1930s and 1940s the discussions about the Carolina Bays were professional and respectful. Each side criticized only the hypothesis of the opponents pointing out the deficiencies and alternatives. However, since the publication of the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis in 2007, the discussions have degenerated into a cosmic brawl where opponents are insulted and accused of incompetence.
