RAW VIDEO: A tour was provided to the media today at the Field Medical Station which is being organized at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, N.J.
Sergeant First Class Marc Pellegrino from the New Jersey State Police led the tour.
According to Gov. Phil Murphy, the 250-bed facility "should be ready to take non-COVID-19 patients Monday... The field hospital will serve as a “step-down” facility for patients that would otherwise go to area hospitals to alleviate pressure on them."
According to press release, "The Army Corps [of Engineers] worked with the State Police to build the hospital over the last seven or eight days... The Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Guard and health officials also worked on the hospital to ensure it met federal specifications."
