This week we are featuring another student music video shot at BerkleeNYC's Black Box Theater. Songwriting and Production specialist Damaris performs her original song "Corazón" (Heart) against vivid LED wall designs draped in Peruvian imagery and artwork.
Damaris is a Latin American singer, songwriter and producer, born in the Andes of Peru. Her music fuses traditional rhythms with contemporary sounds and takes us to a magical place where borders disappear and we can feel the integration of the past and the future.
Her body of work invites us to get to know Latin culture through joyful songs accompanied by visual imagery that intensifies the connection between musical traditions and sounds of the future. Her recognized musical career and work as a cultural ambassador has spanned Latin Grammy Nominations, awards in international competitions, and now BerkleeNYC’s inaugural class.
