After the last test using fine copper wire showed promise, I had to do one more test. This time, I add hooks to the pots to allow weaving the wire tightly to the body of the piece. I hope you are inspired to try something similar.
My final take-away after doing these tests is:
1. Use the finest copper wire you can.
2. Keep it as tight to the pot as you can, and under the glaze.
3. Heavy glazes run, so keep the wire pattern up away from the foot.
This will be my last copper wire test, at least for a while. I do have experiments with glazing Gold and Silver leaf coming up, so make sure to subscribe if you haven't.
