The guidance is clear ... use a memory safe programming language. Great for new projects, but what if you have a 30K lines of code codebase in C++? In this session, Mitch described how his team converted this codebase to Rust. It wasn't easy or straightforward.
He went into different approaches they took to converting the code, how they verified the code, and what they will do differently next time. And there likely will be a next time as overall the project was a success.
