Convert low quality video into high quality ✨
If your videos feel low quality, there’s a really good chance it’s not your camera. It’s probably your lighting.
Honestly, lighting makes a WAY bigger difference than most creators realize.
You can film on an iPhone and still get really solid-looking content if your lighting setup is working for you.
A few things that help:
☀️ Natural light:
It’s still one of my favorite options because it’s free and usually looks the most flattering.
A few tips:
✨ Face the window directly instead of sitting with the window behind you
✨ Large windows usually create softer light
✨ Overcast days often give better lighting than direct sunlight
✨ Try filming a few feet away from the window instead of directly against it
💡 Ring lights:
They are great if:
✨ You film at night
✨ You don't have consistent natural light
✨ You create a lot of talking-head content
A lot of creators assume they need the most expensive setup possible, but honestly even a basic ring light can make a huge difference.
One thing to keep in mind:
Because ring lights sit directly in front of your face, they can sometimes make your lighting look a little flatter compared to window light or side lighting setups.

These are honestly underrated.
I especially like them for any time I’m filming on the go:

✨ Travel content
✨ Late-night filming
They're small, easy to carry around, and can instantly make phone footage look cleaner in darker spaces.
