Vivian and Alli react to Contact, the sci-fi drama that follows Dr. Ellie Arroway, a driven SETI scientist who dedicates her life to searching for extraterrestrial intelligence. When she detects a mysterious signal from the star system Vega containing coded instructions for building a mysterious machine, she finds herself at the center of a global firestorm involving science, faith, politics, and the biggest question humanity has ever faced: are we alone in the universe?

Directed by Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, Cast Away) and adapted by James V. Hart and Michael Goldenberg from Carl Sagan's novel, the film stars Jodie Foster (Silence of the Lambs, Panic Room, Nyad), Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club, Interstellar, True Detective), James Woods (Once Upon a Time in America, Casino), John Hurt (Alien, The Elephant Man, Harry Potter), Tom Skerritt (Alien, Top Gun, A River Runs Through It), William Fichtner (Armageddon, The Dark Knight, Crash), David Morse (The Green Mile, House, Outbreak), Angela Bassett (What's Love Got to Do with It, Black Panther), and Rob Lowe (The West Wing, Parks and Recreation, St. Elmo's Fire).
