Kristen & Vivian react to Road House, the action-packed reimagining of the cult classic that follows former UFC fighter Elwood Dalton as he takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to uncover a dangerous criminal conspiracy lurking beneath the surface. Having already watched the original Road House, they compare the remake’s brutal action, fresh characters, and modern take on the beloved story while seeing how it stacks up against the Patrick Swayze classic.

Directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, American Made, Swingers), the film stars Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler, Prisoners, Southpaw, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Zodiac), Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Fast X, Marlowe), Billy Magnussen (Game Night, No Time to Die, Into the Woods, Aladdin), Jessica Williams (Shrinking, The Fantastic Beasts series, Booksmart, Love Life), and Conor McGregor (UFC, The Ultimate Fighter), making his feature film acting debut. Written by Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry, the film reimagines the 1989 cult favorite for a new generation while paying homage to the original.
