Conservation of green spaces is an issue that brings people together from across the political spectrum, said Signal Mountain resident and lifelong Republican Brian Kennedy by phone.

“One of my fundamental personal beliefs is that regardless of our party affiliation, regardless of our politics, I think all Americans are a lot closer in our beliefs than the people who like to polarize us would have us believe,” he said.
