Leaving the Tennessee Aquarium, visitors may notice at the corner of Chestnut Street and Aquarium Way a glass tower affixed with a crown of ray-like panels reminiscent of a shining sun, especially on a bright summer day.

That tower belongs to the aquarium's IMAX 3D theater, where the picture shows are larger than life and transport audiences to places they have never been before, whether that is the depths of the ocean or the vastness of space.
