Charges were never filed against my friend David for trespassing and Chief Terry McManus went into an early retirement after this interaction. Maybe McManus leaving prematurely and the lack of any follow-up was unrelated to confronting them. Maybe it was related.

In December, 2020 my friend David was handcuffed and dragged to a dungeon the day before this video was filmed, for not wearing a mask in the post office in Capitola, CA by Officers Mendoza and Quolas. After Officer Mendoza got back in his police car with David handcuffed in the backseat, Mendoza removed his mask. I wonder why.

The post office is federal property and the police departments have no jurisdiction there. It's interesting to watch as I hold Officer Quolas' feet to the fire while he tries to rationalize how he was able to arrest David the day before in the post office, but not willing to allow us to file a complaint against the post office employees for causing an unlawful imprisonment, "That's a federal building, you're gonna need to contact a federal office". What did you say, Officer?

I have in my hand (among other things) a copy of the Constitution and CA Penal Code 602 which defines trespassing. After showing Officer Quolas print-outs of Title 241 & 242 and Title 42, Section 1983, Quolas claims he is going to get the paperwork in his car so we can file a complaint, and then he runs away, never to be seen again.
