Back in 2010, I made a speedpaint pertaining to the famous battle in Omen of the Stars: The Fourth Apprentice. In 2011 and 2012, I did the same (although the 2012 speedpaint I never uploaded, probably because of my old laptop crashing). I'm not sure why I stopped, but, after going through my old documents and finding the old versions, I realized that maybe I should return to the scene!
This was A LOT of fun to do. It's been a really long time since I sat down and drew something in my own style and took my time doing it. I quickly remembered why I stopped doing speedpaints: the rendering for this took 3 HOURS. WHAT. I'm getting a new computer soon so hopefully I can do more speedpaints in the future and they won't take a whole day to upload!
You might notice that I switch back and forth between programs. I use photoshop to color and do effects (a lot of effects I did weren't shown in the speedpaint because I wanted to experiment) and I use FireAlpaca for lineart because it has line correction, which I DESPERATELY need. I know it's possible to color in FireAlpaca and it looks fairly simple in the speedpaints I've watched, but I have yet to master it.
