When I first started learning synthesis, I felt completely lost—like I wasn’t technical enough, not smart enough, and definitely not capable enough. I was too scared to ask questions, and that held me back for way too long.

But after teaching thousands of students, I now know that this feeling is so common. So many of us are waiting to feel ready before we start… but the truth is, confidence doesn’t come first.

It grows through action. Through showing up, asking questions, and letting yourself learn without needing to be perfect.

This is something I weave into all my courses, workshops, and teachings—because learning an instrument is so much more than just the notes or the tech. It’s about developing trust in yourself as an artist.

PS: Today is the last day to join my free intro to modular synths workshop! I’m running two more sessions tomorrow (Thursday) – Go to the link in my bio if you want in. Let’s do this. 🚀
