QSO Connect Compose Project premiered compositions from 24 high school students for its 7th year

Under the guidance of QSO musician Craig Allister Young ( Cello), this initiative has provided a platform for 24 youthful composers to nurture their skills in crafting compositions for orchestral instruments. Importantly, these emerging talents were granted the opportunity to experience the fruition of their efforts through live performance.

The QSO Connect Ensemble, conducted by Katie Betts (Violin 2), presented compositions originating from diverse Queensland schools such as Toowoomba Anglican School, Holland Park State High School, Cairns School of Distance Education, Narangba Valley State High School, Brisbane State High School and St. John's Anglican College. This year's edition was made even more special with the inclusion of Cairns-based artist Susan Reys and Elder Henry Fourmile. Their artistic works and narratives served as inspiration for the Compose Project students, shaping their compositions.

Kudos to these young and talented composers for their remarkable achievements! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
