In this talk titled Complexity Leadership: Leadership and Followership Development for a Complex World, Dr. Uhl-Bien will explore what complexity really means, how it reshapes leadership and followership, and how complexity leadership theory is being applied in healthcare to drive both organizational and individual transformation. Drawing on her globally recognized scholarship and executive education experience, this session offers practical insights for leading and following in today’s dynamic systems.

Mary Uhl-Bien is the BNSF Railway Endowed Professor of Leadership in the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University (TCU). She is a renowned leadership scholar, receiving an Eminent Leadership Scholar Award in the Academy of Management as well as an Honorary Doctorate from Copenhagen Business School. Dr. Uhl-Bien is listed in Stanford’s top 2% of scientists in the world and in Poets and Quants as a Top 50 Undergraduate Business Professor. Mary is active in executive education, working with companies to use complexity leadership development to drive organizational transformation. Her articles have won multiple awards, including two LQ Decennial Awards, an LQ Best Paper Award, and the Walker Prize for best paper in advancing HR. She is a sought-after speaker, giving keynotes and invited talks around the world and serving as a commentator for CNBC Squawk Box.
