Talk Title: Creativity and Motivation in Gifted Youth

Talk Summary: This session will explore the relationship between motivation and creativity from a self-determination theory perspective. Dr. Mammadov will discuss the importance of psychological need support and well-being in the lives of students and their creative endeavors, presenting recent research findings and implications for everyday creativity and student success.
Biography: Sakhavat Mammadov is an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology and the Director of the Learning and Well-Being Lab at the University of Georgia. His primary research interests include social and emotional experiences of gifted children, motivation in learning contexts, personality, and creativity.
