I'll tell you everything about Water Wheels in the Create mod for Minecraft.
First, we need to craft the Water Wheels.
They are very easy to make using early-game resources.
Specifically, the small one is crafted like this.
And the large one is made like this.
The large Water Wheel produces twice as many Stress Units as the small one.
Stress Units (SU) are the unit of energy in Create.
You can place both wheels either vertically or horizontally.
And in order for them to start generating energy, you just need to flow water onto one of the sides.
Also, in the vertical position, you can easily combine them into massive farms to produce more SU.
But if necessary, you can do this in the horizontal position as well.
To find out if your Water Wheel is working, I recommend crafting the Engineer's Goggles.
With them, when you look at the Water Wheel, you will see whether it is producing energy or not.
Now, you can simply place a Shaft or a Cogwheel to transfer the energy to the mechanism you need.
Also, if you need to increase the rotation speed, you can use an item called the Rotation Speed Controller.
Or, you can simply place a Small Cogwheel, then a Shaft, and then a Large Cogwheel.
Then again, a Small Cogwheel, a Shaft, and a Large Cogwheel, and repeat this until you reach your desired speed.
