High School Chemistry
Comparing a pH probe with Universal Indicator solution in a school chemistry laboratory.
A pH probe from a school equipment supplier was linked wirelessly to a display. The display was set to read whole pH units.
The pH probe was immersed in a commercial buffer at pH 7 for an hour before use.
The probe was used to measure the pH of five solutions and the results compared with those seen from the colour produced by Universal Indicator and reading the corresponding pH from a chart.
