I recently filmed a quick comparison between 8bit, 10bit and 12bit underwater footage in LOG and with a basic, neutral grade applied.
I wanted to see how they compare and if the 12bit footage really performs better in terms of dynamic range, ease of grading and the overall image quality.
What do you think? Pay attention to the dancing sun rays in the background? What can you see? What do you notice?
The 8bit clip is filmed with an Insta360 Ace Pro 2, the 10bit clip is a DJI Osmo Action 6 and the 12bit clip comes from a Nikon ZR.
