When I first found out about the open source BlueRetro project by DarthCloud, I was blown away. Allowing people to use any Bluetooth controller with almost any retro console was a huge gamechanger. However, I was disappointed to find out that BlueRetro didn’t (and probably wouldn’t) support the Original Xbox.

Well, it’s been a few years since then, and DarthCloud is about to release a BlueRetro adapter specifically for the Original Xbox called BRX! Not only will it let us use a wireless Xbox Series controller with the Original Xbox, but we could also do something crazy like use the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller!

DarthCloud has sent me a BRX with some beta firmware, so let’s check it out!
