These were all the rage 2 weeks ago, so I finally decided to make my own and came up with this! I still don't know what the practical uses are.

Additional challenge that makes it 2x harder for observerless but 1.0000000001x harder for observers: Make it entirely seamless so that you cant even see the piston head under the chest when its open. I recommend 1-ticking the wall pistons instead of powering them with a torch and that way you can slide the needed block in between the wall block and the retracted piston. I would make a diagram but Im way too lazy to do that.
