How many of you baby boomers remember the beloved American sitcom known as “The Golden Girls”? It was about four mature women living together and all the joys and trials of their golden years.
In the fall of 2021, I was offered an opportunity to move into a refurbished boutique hotel with three other mature women from various places. One lady was from Argentina, another from Australia, and a Black American women from North Carolina, by way of Kansas. In this session two of us share our story of moving abroad to Mexico and how a communal living space has enhanced our lives. It’s like the golden girls on steroids.
