Proclamation declaring January as Lung Cancer Awareness Month. This is an important recognition because there have been tremendous strides in early detection methods and treatments that help combat this disease. Moffitt Cancer Center is a world-class health care facility that is a leader in discovering ground-breaking methods to detect cancers early.
The center’s innovative outreach includes the Ferman Family Mobile Lung Cancer Screening Unit, which brings low-dose, computed tomography screenings, also known as CT screenings, directly to the public.
