Music commission I finished last year for @bowserjrimacasualshutup6754.
It's an arrangement of Suzuka's theme from Dream Compass' Touhou fangame "The Shattered Sky", as heard here (youtube.com/watch?v=uusR3j5oaBY).
I was mainly tasked to make this song more powerful than the original, but it mostly ended up sounding similar? Except with a few things added and somewhat better mixing, since I'm personally not a big fan of how flat Abner's music sounds like.
Speaking of mixing, the headphones I was using for nearly 3 years died while I was composing this, forcing me to use an older replacement that had teeny lower frequencies.
Needless to say, I've bought a new headset sometime later (ATH-M20x), listened to this, and realized that MAYBE the bass is a little bit too pronounced but not as bad as I was expecting.
Overall, yeah. Really pleased to what I've done to this tune.

This is the theme for Zhangken, the main protagonist of Sparks, a Tale of Ink.
There were plenty of notions I had to follow while composing this.
First of all, the song starts out restful and then develops into something more energetic. This is all to indicate Zhangkens eagerness about what he wants to discover throughout the telling of the story.
And secondly, considering the guys name and racial type (hes a sable, a weasel-esque animal from Northeast China), Ive composed this theme with heavy usage of Chinese instruments, including but not limited to the dizi, erhu, and pipa.
Overall, it was very fun to compose this. Looking forward to compose more stuff with this distinct ethnic feeling to it.
