In this supplemental teaching for Chapter 5 of Preserved Blameless, we continue exploring the incredible work Jesus accomplished through His death and resurrection.
Isaiah prophesied that Jesus would pour out His soul unto death. What does that mean? Why is His peace so central to the Kingdom of God? And why, after His resurrection, were Jesus' very first words to His disciples, "Peace be unto you"?
In this teaching we explore:
• Why Jesus made His soul an offering for sin
• The biblical meaning of peace (shalom) as God's restored order
• How Jesus restores body, soul, and spirit
• The connection between forgiveness and peace
• Why offense robs us of the peace Christ purchased
• Jesus breathing on His disciples and saying, "Receive the Holy Spirit"
• The difference between power and God's government
• Why the Holy Spirit is essential—not optional—for every believer
• Moses, David, and the invitation into deeper union with God
• God's eternal desire to dwell within His people
Peace is not merely an emotion. It is the evidence that God's government is being established within us—spirit first, soul submitted, body aligned.
This chapter reminds us that Jesus did not simply die so we could one day go to heaven. He died so His life could be formed within us now, restoring us into the unity the Father intended from the beginning.
