A second installment in the Command Records Reel To Reel vs Vinyl Comparisons, this time for a pair of Tony Mottola albums. The two titles are Roman Guitar and Spanish Guitar. The pressings were second label, Indianapolis pressings in near mint condition. These were both mastered by George Piros. I picked up these tapes off Ebay just recently, both from the same collection and in beautiful condition for a mere $15. each!
Tapes were played on a restored Revox A77, and the records were played back on the VPI Scout / Classic Platter / JMW Memorial Tonearm with Hana ML Cartridge and Analog Drive System. The rest of the system is listed below.
