Welcome to the very first episode of what I hope will become are recurring series called Comic Art: Commissions - The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly! My first guest is my pal Shaun Clancy, who probably owns over 1,000 commissions. The theme of this show is simply to have collectors chat with me about their journey as commission collectors and show some of that art as we chat.
To be absolutely clear, I am personally NOT a commission collector, but commission collectors represent quite a large sector of our hobby and as best as I can tell, they don't have anywhere to go on YouTube to watch and/or participate in live content focused on commission collecting, so I want to give them that place here on my channel.
But, I need YOUR help in order to make this become more than just a one-off episode. If you are a commission collector and would like to see this become a recurring series of episodes, the best way to help make that happen would be to participate as a guest first. I need you to reach out to me via the links to my socials down below, and tell me you would like to be a guest on a future episode, because the more collectors who reach out and want to spend a few hours talking about the hobby they love, the quicker and more often I will schedule more episodes. Without collectors reaching out to participate, this is very unlikely going to become a recurring series. Since I don't collect commissions and therefore don't hang out with commission collectors or know more than a few, I need commission collectors to do their small part by reaching out to me. I hope to hear from as many of you as possible. I'm going into this expecting no one to reach out, so hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised and I'll hear from a few of you.
