Hey Everyone! Since episodes 59 & 61 of Comic Art Show & Tell were two of the most popular ones we've ever done, I decided we'd continue the series every now and then whenever I have enough sales data on resold pieces to show and talk about. Although these episodes certainly qualify to be done within the Show & Tell series, they also double as an effective teaching tool and as of this episode we'll be producing them within the Comic Art 101 series. The primary reason however, is because of my longstanding belief that it is a good idea for anyone accruing knowledge in the hobby to make an effort to pass it down to the next generation of collectors. Not only to help them, but so they are then also armed with more knowledge on top of the knowledge they are already accruing on their own, so they can eventually pass it down to the generation coming up behind them.
We're also going to be making a slight switch from this episode onward. Rather than having the primary focus be the comparison of sales price to resale price, we're going to hone in more on the actual or potential losses made to a seller's pocket, as I feel those numbers are far more eye opening and hopefully sobering as well, which might help sellers using bad selling techniques to better improve their chances of making a profit when reselling art.
