Hey Everyone! Welcome to the 18th Episode of Comic Art 101! I finally have enough examples to do this 2nd episode of Insanity Wins!, where I give a little bit of balance to the "Reselling art at auction after holding for less than 5 years" equation: The "exceptions to the rule". These are transactions in which the owner resold the art at auction after less than 5 years of ownership, but actually made a profit rather than a loss, something which the data has shown only happens in approximately 15% of cases. But not all is as rosy as it may sound even for these winners, as some of them only qualify as "wins" on a technicality. Tune in and spend the night with us to see exactly what I mean by that.
