Welcome to the 17th episode of Comic Art Show & Tell!
For this, my 55th consecutive week live streaming and officially the 57th episode I've produced, I have a special guest in studio with me. Karen from Karen's Pages, a YouTube channel focused on collecting both comic books AND original comic art (which you can access quickly via the direct link below. Subscribe, Thumbs Up and leave her some comments!), has graciously given us 2 hours of her time in order to hang out, shoot the shit with all of us, showcase some of her original art collection and hopefully let us get to know her a little bit!
As many of you know, I've wondered aloud on several episodes of my shows where all the female collectors are and that if they're out there watching silently, I wish they'd step into the live chat at some point, even if only to say hello and let us know they're there. Well, Karen did just that and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to invite her to be an in-studio guest sometime. Okay, maybe I begged her a little bit, but if I did, that certainly didn't scare her off and she graciously accepted my invitation! In the meantime, she has already become a participating member of the Live Chat Crew in recent weeks, which is wonderful because it tells me we're all doing a great job in fostering a sense of community and camaraderie which makes the "lurker" types comfortable enough to step outside their comfort zone a little bit and join in on our fun, which is the whole point of doing this!
So please, let's all come together for this episode and give Karen a warm welcome!
