The Slow Fender TWEED Breakup and the Quick Marshall PLEXI Breakup creates a time difference such that if you pan both tracks left and right it will create a sense of a single entity that acts from left to right which sounds huge, natural and spatially rich. In this video I'm using a Marshall 1974X and a Fender 5E3 Tweed Deluxe with a Gibson Les Paul Custom, see list of gear at the bottom. I'm also using some post EQ to add some sparkle etc.
As a Bonus:
We'll also look at something unrelated, namely comparing two sets of small diaphragm condensers on acoustic guitar and drums:
