I was unsalted for almost all of this due to some confusion and not thinking we were going to actually get it, but alas.
P1: (Pillar phase)
If you are resetting, just use an imbued heart. No need to waste salt early on if you are going to fail a dps check.
The biggest thing here is having a Zaryte crossbow. This makes P1 something like a 70% success rate. Without it, we succeeded past this phase a handful of times in 50 attempts. Get a zcb if you can (I borrowed one from a friend).
Doing the method I am, the west person starts the phase, zcb specs immediately then stands in front of the skulls. Do 5 shadow hits then move out of the way. The east person then tanks for two shadow hits after the west person moves, then moves, and then both people do three shadow hits each and move the tick they do the third shadow hit.
There is a chance your dps is just bad and so you can do a fang spec that will land before failing the task if you so desire.
P2: (Warden)
If you are resetting, eat your bugs before this phase starts. I would have if this wasn't our first attempt for this run.
We were doing 3 downs since we weren't using spec pots. This sucks because you still take damage through prayer so just brew and restore when you need it. Also if you're doing 3 downs you don't need to be potted, so you can reset as long as you have restores.
Obviously dodge things. The pillar specials do NOT say you failed the task when you get hit by them.
P3:
This is actually relatively easy since it should be zero damage. Again getting hit by falling projectiles will not say you failed the task, so just reset if you do.
Salt sometime during this phase, the odds of you failing the task here are relatively low if you have toa experience. I salted much later than I should have.
Enrage:
Use any zcb specs you can and path correctly. The biggest thing I see people do wrong on enrage (in any run, not just this) is they're mindlessly clicking around on the floor when they don't need to. Chill out and intentionally move when you need to. I find the less I'm moving around the more perfect enrages I get.
Not a terrible task, zcb was the biggest gatekeep for us as we weren't initially using them. The setup for this task kind of sucks since you have to do all the rooms, but other than that you can get 20+ attempts before needing to leave.
