Tonight I will be starting this colored pencil dog portrait. This will probably take 2-3 weeks to finish If I just work on this on stream. Let me know if you want to see the full portrait streamed.
I will be using a combination of prismacolor, polychromos, carendach luminance and lightfast pencils. Tonight I am choosing them based on lightfast ratings, but something i choose them based on colors I want.

I will be drawing Holly on 8x10 arches hot pressed watercolor paper but you can use whatever paper you have. Since there are a lot of light areas in the fur I won't be doing too much of an under layer or using pan pastels for a base. I will be using gamsol oderless mineral spirits to blend out some areas. you don't have to use this but I like the smooth look it gives colored pencils.
