This is part 3 of the watercolor for beginners series. In todays video I will be talking all about water control, controlling the amount of water to paint your using. How to create flat washes, gradients and a complimentary gradient without getting muddy colors. I will also be explaining how to use wet in wet to your advantage and showing how you can start to learn if you have too much water or not enough for the effect you want. I will also be talking about glazing colors if you just want to slightly darken a color or add a shadow, or completely change the color to a new color. I will also be showing you how to dry brush and why you might want to try it, and how to lift watercolors easily if you want to achieve a bokeh look or fix a mistake. There is a lot of information packed into this video, and I encourage you to paint along and try them all yourself! Next video we will be putting everything together from all 3 videos and creating a nice painting.
