My Uncle found this lantern and we're trying to find out how old it is. Judging from the website http://terrence.marsh.faculty.noctrl.edu/lantern/colelantpre31.htm , we believe it is from between 1920 to 1924. A patent date May 13, 1919 was stamped on the air tube.
We haven't tried to light it or even put fuel in it yet but we do eventually want to get it to work. So far, I've oiled the pump and got it working but it seems as if the filler cap leaks air. I have a spare globe and extra #21 mantels that fit.
If anyone has any information and tips/instructions for this lantern, please let me know
