We are out to lead a revolution in youth coaching — to inspire all kids to play and achieve their greatest potential. You could feel that energy in our recent “Coach the Dream” event at Nike’s World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, where coaching experts from around the world brought expertise, ideas and a ton of heart to help activate the future of youth sport coaching.
“Coaching is Nike’s legacy and future,” says Vanessa Garcia-Brito, Nike’s VP, Chief Impact Officer, who helped lead the event. “We’ve been harnessing the power of great coaching for the last 50 years, and we believe there’s a coach in all of us. Time and time again, we’ve seen that while a good coach can change a game, a great coach can change a life. Through coaching, we can help make athletes’ dreams real. It’s a mindset that applies to our neighborhoods and communities, but starts with us at Nike.”
