May 1991. Whew, this one was a lot of work and layers! Almost all of the design and "look" is from the creative brain of the CNN designer Kathy Jaroneski. I worked perhaps most closely with Kathy J on more projects than any other CNN designer.
Kathy J was super prepped with elements, but we still had to do this as a team. I animated the circuit board using Kathy's pre-produced elements -- then forward weaving many elements and ideas together as best we could, animated to the music, as we layered more of Kathy's pre-produced elements together, sometimes with on-the-fly ideas per her general ideas and vision. Not sure what grade I get on "weaving things together", but this was a fun project and took some time to produce.
Primitive production gear on this one - TBS Control B with three quad beast videotape machines and one modern 1" tape machine, still with resulting noise b/c of so many layers/passes on videotape.
