When CNN International rebranded in 1992, they had 8 versions of the music to play under James Earl Jones's "This Is CNN International," with the logo, every half-hour. I'm not sure if they used every single one of them, but here they are, without Darth Vader, for your nostalgic musical enjoyment.
They diverged from the circa-1989 CNN branding they had been using, to come up with a completely new 'International' look and unique audio pallette, and even a 5-note signature tune that, sadly, they have long since discarded. CNN is still using the 4-note signature that they came up with in 1989, so there was no reason for CNN International to drop this legend.
Bonus trivia: Take out the middle note from the 5-note signature, and you've got the 4-note Headline NEWS channel's signature theme, also circa roughly 1989.

Manassas, Virginia, as Mrs. Bobbit told a jury her husband physically and sexually abused her.
Lorena Bobbitt, Defendant: He kicked me, he told me that I told you to not to cry, and he slapped me in my face, he pulled my hair, and he squeezed my face.
Defense lawyers argued the abuse drove Mrs. Bobbitt to a moment of insanity.
Blair Howard, Defense Attorney: Everything about this case is crazy and bizarre. This is a classic case of irresistible impulse.
Evan Nelson, Psychologist: In this case, the impulse is clear: Its anger, and it’s to cut off her husband’s penis.
The jury cleared her on charges of unlawful and malicious wounding.
The judge had Lorena Bobbitt hospitalized for psychiatric evaluation.
Released weeks later, Lorena Bobbitt was soon to be divorced, but happy and hopeful about the future.
