On the Saturday before Easter, the Reading Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad kicked off its 2023 steam season with a day of excursions utilizing Central Railroad of New Jersey 0-6-0 number 113. On this day, the 113 would pull its short passenger consist on 3 75-minute excursions between Minersville and Cressona. Additionally, these trips marked the return of Easter trips on the Minersville Branch of the Reading & Northern after quite a few years. On this spring day, 113 sported a Grand Trunk Western 5 Chime owned by one of the Project 113 volunteers. So sit back, relax, and enjoy a lovely day on the Reading & Northern's Minersville Branch with the monstrous 0-6-0.
