One attraction at the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is its Museum. The museum hosts a fine variety of motive power and rolling stock. The 2 locomotives are Rio Grande Southern 42, a 2-8-0 C-17 built in 1887 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. The second locomotive is Denver & Rio Grande Western 478, a 2-8-2 K-28 built by the American Locomotive Works in August of 1923. 478 last ran in 2016 and is awaiting its 1472 inspection mandated by the FRA. Enjoy this short video showing some of what the museum has to offer!
