In this episode, I cover how logging works in AWS, and why not all logging is created equal. Logging information in AWS involves two services: CloudTrail and CloudWatch.

Both of these services have different focuses and applications, with paid logging offering a clear advantage for threat detection. If I'm a hacker, targeting these logs will be a major focus to make discovery of my presence difficult.

That's why it's critical to enable and protect logs to prevent hackers from covering their tracks.
