John Carpay is challenging the B.C. government’s decision to periodically close Joffre Lakes Provincial Park to everyone except First Nations members, calling the race-based access policy “identical to apartheid.”

He explains why the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms believes the closures violate Canada’s constitutional protections and says legal action could follow if the province refuses to reverse the policy.
