After U.S. and Hollywood pushback, Ottawa is scrapping the planned levy on streamers like Netflix and Disney.

Instead of collecting that money from the companies, the Liberals plan to replace it with… your tax dollars — to fund Canadian and Indigenous content that private investors won’t touch.
